Secure your files with PC-Smart Switch for HA480/680

To protect files from being corrupted, we have added the PC-Smart Switch feature to firmware version 2.06.4 for HA480/680 dispensers.

Activating this option disables the PC switch if an electrical current is detected on the USB port. This prevents the PC from shutting down while Windows is still running and thus secures files against becoming corrupted.

Operator instructions to use the PC-Smart Switch:

At the start of each workday, the operator presses the PC-Smart Switch to return the power to the PC socket. This starts up the PC if in the bios the PC is set to Wake up on power.

Before going home at the end of the day, the operator turns off the PC via Windows. Then the operator turns off the power of the PC socket by pressing the PC-Smart Switch.

This functionality is in BETA and is deactivated by default, meaning that the default behavior is the same as previous firmware versions. To activate the PC-Smart-Switch option, change the MACHINE SMARTPCSWITCHENABLED parameter from 0 to 1 in FFM Maintenance.
